As a followup to the recent Digg story. The State of Tennessee refused to fulfill the last request of a man on death row - to give his last meal to a homeless person. The story, however, motivated thousands of dollars worth of pizza donations to local homeless shelters!
What is alarming, though, is the kind of angry comments I found on "Digg" web site where most people do not agree with the kind, final gesture of the condemned man whose conviction was controversial to say the least. If this is the mentality of the American majority, it is a really sad state of affairs indeed.
